Surrounded by beautiful landscape all around and with a two and a half mile private beach right on the Gulf there is more than enough room to go exploring for sea shells and enjoying all nature has to offer.
Feel like taking a break from the beach one day, try a round of golf while enjoying some of the best views anywhere we have seen.
The resort is a complex of beautiful and ours was recently updated multi bedroom villas ,cottages and private houses with fully equipped kitchens. Some of the villa and cottage areas have their own pool .
For those that dont need the extra space there is a hotel near the main pool complex with plenty of dining options. The Harbourside Grill is a perfect spot for breakfast with a terrific buffet or dinner overlooking the pool area with live music from 6-9pm. The Pointe restaurant is perfect for a relaxing lunch while overlooking the Bay and for a late snack or ice cream after dinner stop by Scoops and Slices. After lunch head to the nearby pools ,yes POOLS, there are several. Some are more for the kids with slides and games and their is an adult pool with a fantastic view of the Bay and at anytime you are almost guaranteed to see some Dolphins casually going by.
You can top off your day by enjoying the fabulous sunsets from almost anywhere on the resort but our favorite spot is Sunset Beach while sipping your favorite drink and listening to live music evey night as the sun sets.
If you are looking for a destination for this Summers vacation or anytime, get captivated in Captiva at the South Seas Island Resort. We can not wait to return to see those beautiful sunsets and spend some more time exploring all this magnificent resort has to offer.
Next time we plan to have more photos of the villas and cottages that make this place unique.
